Among all rivers which influent in Adriatic sea, Bojana is the biggest. It flows from Skadar lake, near Skadar and with its biggest part is the border river of two states. It is specially significant because natural link of lake and Adriatic , and is the one to ’’blame’’ for one of the most complex eco-systems which appeared on this part of Mediterranean.

On the occasion of 20th September, when Montenegro was declared as ecological state, more than 30 kayakers drove regatta from quarters St Djordje from mouth of the river Bojana. At the same time, boat ride for 60 representatives of the institutions, media and NGOs was organized. All present had the opportunity to familiarize with the beauties of river Bojana during the ride which lasted for almost 4 hours.
Regatta was organized by NGO ’’Green step’’, HTP ’’Ulcinj riviera’’, NGO ’’Bojana’’, TO Ulcinj, municipality Ulcinj, kayak club ’’Moraca’’ from Podgorica and NGO ’’Green’’ Home.

The aim of the manifestation was promotion of natural, ecological, cultural, tourist and sport and recreational potencials of the river Bojana. By this opportunity, organizers pointed that this is one of the most planned manifestations which promote values of nature preservation, i.e. environment. One of the donors of this manifestation was Environmental Protection Agency.
