Marine ecosystem
Sea is a specific environment and outstanding natural resource. Monitoring the status of coastal sea ecosystems of Montenegro is very important having  in mind that tourism is one of the most important economic resources.
Because of the specific features of the marine ecosystem, analysis involves an understanding of biological, physical and chemical parameters and their interactions. In relation, the analysis and preparation of reports require a team of experts to analyze data, monitor the implementation of monitoring programs and development of the law provided for the report.

The aim of monitoring

Program monitoring coastal ecosystems must be conducted in order to assess  the condition of marine biodiversity and the quality of sea water, based on the analysis of biological and chemical indicators of pollution. Based on the results obtained through the implementation of the monitoring program an assessment of the degree of pollution is done.
Results are also used for the purposes of fulfilling the obligations of reporting at the international level (European Agency for the Environment and MEDPOL-in).
